- 26 May - 10 July 2022
- EAST
Referred to as the "godson of Andy Warhol" by Andre Leon Talley, the former editor of Vogue Magazine, Philip Colbert has explored a range of artistic approaches following modern artists such as Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, and Marcel Duchamp. With lobster as his alter ego and artistic symbol, he freely crosses the areas of paintings, sculpture, media art, fashion, and metaverse, ultimately completing his own artistic world, "Lobster Land" with the message "anyone can do anything" through his works.
The artist presents 60 new works produced for the solo show, including the "Hunt" series, which reinterprets classical masterpieces in combination with contemporary popular and digital cultures, and the latest version of the "Flower Study" series, which is an homage to Warhol's famous flower images.
